1986 AOP Moulis en Médoc Lacour

1986

Château Lacour Bouqueyran

The year 1986 is considered an exceptional vintage, one of the best. The Médoc wine offers a very elegant garnet hue with brilliance, typical of Bordeaux wines. The nose is incisive, straight, and clean, with aromas of red fruits like currant, accompanied by cooked fruits; the second nose reveals the full depth of the structure with fragrances of cocoa bean, spices, cedar. It is ideal with pan-seared red meats. Its serving temperature is 16°C, and decanting will help it reveal itself.

1990 AOP Moulis Médoc Lacour

1990

 Château Lacour Bouqueyran

A very significant year for Moulis en Médoc wine in 1990 where, despite the heatwave, quantity matches quality. The potency of the 1990 wines is often compared to those of 1945, 1961, or 1978. Grapes exhibit exceptional concentration. Due to the volume of the harvest, acidity is low, endowed with powerful and velvety tannins.

Stretching over 80 km from Saint-Vivien-de-Médoc to the territory of CUB in Blanquefort, the Médoc vineyard plateau is situated on the alluvial deposits at the confluence of the Dordogne and the Garonne rivers. Its mild and temperate climate, regulated by the estuary and the Landes forest through the production of water vapor, provides it with a mild environment. Its varied sedimentary terrace comprises three main types of limestone, emerging along the coast in a deltaic manner, mainly in the Listrac, Saint-Estèphe, and Vertheuil areas. Thus, depending on the marine depths, one can distinguish marly, clayey, and sandy limestones, complemented by lacustrine deposits. The gravelly sandy soils of Moulis-en-Médoc attribute to it the reputation of wines of elegance, power, and complexity.

Our 3-hectare vineyard is currently undergoing restructuring with partners Lalauday & Pomeys, who are developing a sustainable farming approach.
